Welcome to UmaPOS Counter. UmaPOS Counter is a mobile application designed for restaurant counter and cashier staff to create takeaway orders, manage cart billing, send KOT to kitchen, generate tokens, and process payments.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the UmaPOS Counter app.
By using UmaPOS Counter, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who This App Is For
UmaPOS Counter is intended for restaurant counter and cashier employees who are authorized by their employer. It is not designed for children under 13.
Your restaurant employer controls staff accounts, PIN access, and operational data. UmaPOS provides the platform on behalf of the restaurant.
2. Information We Collect
When you use UmaPOS Counter, we may collect and process the following information:
- Counter staff name, staff ID, restaurant name, and branch information (if your restaurant uses branches)
- Staff role and login PIN used to authenticate you within your restaurant
- Counter orders you create or update, order items, quantities, variants, notes, and order status
- KOT, token, and billing details including payment method and bill totals used for operations
- Order history shown in the app (for example, today's orders)
- Device model, operating system version, app version, a device identifier for push registration, and push notification token (FCM)
UmaPOS Counter does not access your device camera.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate staff login and show counter orders and billing workflows
- Send KOT to kitchen and sync counter orders with your restaurant's UmaPOS account
- Support token display, checkout flows, and payment status updates
- Deliver push notifications for new orders and operational updates
- Improve app performance, security, and reliability
We do not use your information for unrelated advertising or sell your personal data.

- Operational updates relevant to counter workflows
- Other restaurant system alerts configured by your account
You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
5. Internet Access
- Sync counter orders, KOT status, and billing data
- Receive live updates from the restaurant system
- Register and deliver push notifications
Data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections.
6. Third-Party Services
We use trusted service providers to operate UmaPOS Counter:

These providers process data only to deliver the UmaPOS service, under their own privacy and security terms. We do not sell your data to third parties.

- Role-based access so staff only see data for their restaurant
- Secure cloud infrastructure through our service providers
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
9. Data Retention
Restaurant and order data is stored while the restaurant's UmaPOS account remains active.
Your restaurant administrator can disable staff access at any time. When access is removed, you will no longer be able to use the app with that account.
10. Your Choices
- Log out of the app at any time
- Turn off notifications in device settings (some alerts may still appear inside the app when open)
- Contact your restaurant administrator to update or remove your staff account
For questions about data held by your employer, contact your restaurant manager or administrator.
11. Children's Privacy
UmaPOS Counter is for restaurant employees. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
